The need for a rapid ecological transition, the war in Ukraine and the consequent surge in gas and oil prices have put producers and consumers in Italy and Europe in crisis. While Europe is pushing for a rapid decommissioning of fossil fuels, the difficulties of this transition are high both in economic, technological and operational terms.
