How Biases Distort Decision-Making and What You Can Do to Fight Them

During this Webinar Live, Professor Sibony will talk about his new book "How Biases Distort Decision-Making and What You Can Do to Fight Them".
We are all constantly making decisions, it's so completely natural that we rarely stop to think about it. However, even the most experienced make frequent and predictable mistakes. How do we understand, therefore, what makes a good decision? Should we trust our intuitions? And if so, when? How can we avoid being influenced by cognitive bias when we are not even aware of it?
Thanks to the analysis of several case studies, during this meeting, we will outline the latest insights from behavioural economics and cognitive psychology, giving some useful tools to make smart and effective decisions, in the business world and beyond.
In particular, the following topics will be addressed:
  • cognitive biases and the main decision-making traps
  • deciding how to decide: choosing the right technique
  • the architecture of an effective and correct choice.
