Professor of Cardiovascular Sciences, King's College London
Mauro Giacca is Professor of Cardiovascular Sciences at the School of Cardiovascular Medicine & Sciences of King’s College in London and Professor at the Department of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Trieste. At King’s College, he is head of a research group on cardiac regeneration that focuses on post-heart attack. Previously, he was Professor of Molecular Biology at the Normale in Pisa and, from 2004 to 2019, was Director of the ICGEB (International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology) where he is still the Group Leader of the Molecular Medicine Laboratory.
