Dealing with Disruptive Innovations in a global company: the experience of ArcelorMittal



The current challenge to innovate is an experience shared by large and small companies alike. This webinar will explore what happens when a global company innovates, as seen in the case study of ArcelorMittal. A steel giant, this Group is committed to a process of continuous improvement of its performance, increasing sustainability and searching for solutions to global problems. Carl De Maré, Vice President and Head of Technology Development and Innovation, will discuss how the adoption of a new innovation paradigm is making the realization of these goals possible. He will start by analyzing both successful and unsuccessful examples of some innovations that were introduced and will present the tools available to evaluate the implementation of new technologies within companies. Following this he will show how to take advantage of existing business to implement new high-risk projects. Finally, he will discuss the importance of open innovation and corporate capital venture for a global company.
