The Ukrainian crisis and the US-Russia relationship have long threatened to plunge the centre of Europe into a new war. On the one hand, Russia is claiming its own sphere of influence and, on the other, Ukraine has yet to decide whether to act as a buffer for Russia or to integrate with the Atlantic Alliance. This situation could lead to a scenario that is sometimes unlikely, if not impossible, because the consequences would be disastrous for all parties involved. Between mutual accusations and military manoeuvres, how likely is the scenario of a direct conflict between the US/EU and the Russian Federation? During this first webinar of 2022, the participants will have the opportunity to understand the delicate geopolitical situation that could be decisive for the fate of a Europe at the center of two opposing fronts. We will discuss the following topics: -the "disinterest" of the United States towards Europe -the role of Russia and the objective of increasing its grip on Europe -And what about Italy?
