WEBINAR LIVE
Economy for a fragile planet

The increasing environmental risks show that the economic system and policies must be extensively reviewed in order to ensure a safe Anthropocene for humanity. To do this, it is necessary to understand how to dissociate the generation of wealth from environmental exploitation.

In this meeting with Edward B. Barbier, lecturer at the Department of Economics and the School of Global Environmental Sustainability of Colorado State University, participants will learn the topics on which to build a new balance between economics, welfare and conservation of the planet.

In detail, the following topics will be presented:

  • the principles on which to base a new institutional and market governance
  • incentives to steer the economic and financial system towards a sustainable future.
  • the post-Covid restart as an opportunity for reconstruction on new bases.
