Get it done: motivating people and building relationships to counter the epidemic of quiet quitting

The period of uncertainty we are currently experiencing has shaken workplace relationships and attitudes profoundly, creating new critical issues that leaders and organizations need to learn to manage as best as they can. Some changes are self-evident, but others are more hidden and equally insidious. Among the latter, the phenomenon of quiet quitting – that is, the tendency of unmotivated people to "float around," limiting themselves to doing the bare minimum, undermining not only their own performance but also the motivation of the rest of the team – is becoming more pronounced and widespread.

How to avoid quiet quitting? Which strategy is best to re-motivate unmotivated people and keep the best performers at the top? How to keep teams focused on their goals?

During this meeting with Ayelet Fishbach, author of the Bestseller Get It Done: Surprising Lessons from the Science of Motivation, participants will be able to focus on how to change their approach to motivation, examining best practices for setting and achieving goals while maintaining a strong focus on consensus and collaboration among people.

In particular, participants will be able to explore the following topics:

  • intrinsic motivation and free-choice paradigm: strategies to motivate people
  • social loafing and social leverage in teams: identifying and countering freeriding
  • strategies and best practices to motivate, set and achieve goals.
