WEBINAR LIVE
The West and the South of the world between ancient claims and new balances of power

Although the conflict in Ukraine seems close to a stalemate, the balance of world power is changing inexorably, with the South of the world becoming the protagonist of the new power structures. The war, in fact, continues without reaching the results hoped for by the parties and the prospects for resolution seem to be linked only to the collapse of one of the two sides or the ceasefire for exhaustion of both. But in addition to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the confrontation between the West and the powers that place themselves as an alternative to the established order remains the most important match, with China and India increasingly asserting their models. Africa, finally, although it is a continuous source of instability, remains prey to foreign powers that aiming at the possession of raw materials, affect the future of the world.

What impact will the conflict in Ukraine have on the coming winter in Europe? How could the BRICS group shift the world balance? What are the predictions for the US elections and how will their outcome affect Europe and the rest of the world?

In the third round of 2023, the confrontation with Lucio Caracciolo will allow to analyze the changing geopolitical and economic scenarios, between the Russian-Ukrainian conflict with no way out and the South of the world increasingly coveted by world powers. At the same time we will look at the American elections and the possible scenarios in Europe, and in the world. Finally, the state of the art of the geopolitical fronts opened by the Italian government will be taken into consideration.
In particular, it will deepen:
• The conflict between Ukraine and Russia: what possible outcome?
• American elections: the predictions and consequences for Europe and the world.
• The South of the world and the West: what future is the world playing out?
• The Italian government: the open fronts.
